About Dr. Vinod Raina

Dr. Vinod Raina is one of India’s most distinguished Medical Oncologists, with over 40 years of extensive experience in the field. A renowned authority in oncology, he previously served as Professor and Head of Medical Oncology at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, where he spent 24 years shaping the future of cancer care and research.

He holds specialised expertise in the treatment of breast, lung, gastrointestinal, urological, gynaecological cancers, lymphomas, and myelomas, and has personally performed around 400 bone marrow and stem cell transplants for various cancers.

Dr. Raina has made a profound impact in clinical research, having served as Principal Investigator for approximately 50 clinical projects during his tenure at AIIMS. He is also the Co-Founder of the INDOX Network, a collaborative clinical research group.

A dedicated mentor, he has guided nearly 70 residents and DM students, many of whom now hold key leadership roles in top oncology institutions across India and abroad.

In 2013, Dr. Raina joined Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI) as Director and Head of Medical Oncology and Haematology. He was subsequently promoted to Executive Director in 2017 and currently serves as the Chairperson of Oncosciences, Fortis Healthcare since January 2020.
